More Figure Drawings

I hung out with a group of artists (male and female) over the weekend for some figure drawing. This group was quite different because we didn't have a professional model per se. We each took turns modeling and drawing each other. Some did nude others clothed.
The is artist Ying Chan how did some really great work.

Michael Jackson portrait (completed)

Finally finished the Michael Jackson painting!!! This was done for a private art collector in Los Angeles. It was done in acrylics and added a thin coat of acrylic medium over top and on the back of the painting inside the jacket to seal. This was an extremely fun painting to work on and Michael has alway been my main inspiration so it's been personal also.

This is a painting I just did on a protein powder bottle. I stripped the stickers, sanded and gessoed the bottle then used acrylics. This was EXTREMELY fun!!! I will be painting on all sort of things in the future. I actually did this as a loose practice but it turned out really pleasing. I am still working on this bottle... I plan to have it covered with art when I'm done.

Warm-up Sketch...

My first warm-up sketch after being hammered by a horrific virus all-last-week. This is the first study in a series I'm starting that takes a look at the mystic beauty or "Black Women."
